Role Overview

We are introducing Sunrice to the local Pakistani market, a
new retail brand
entering an already competitive FMCG space. The Marketing and Brand Development Lead will play a key role in
building brand awareness, creating consumer familiarity, and driving visibility
both online and in stores.

This is a creative, hands-on role suited for someone who understands
how FMCG brands gain traction in Pakistan
through smart collaborations, digital presence, and store-level visibility, not just high-budget TV campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Awareness and Campaigns

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to introduce Sunrice to Pakistani households as a trusted, everyday rice brand.
  • Plan digital campaigns across
    Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
    , using local influencer collaborations and food pages to build familiarity.
  • Create and manage
    LinkedIn content
    to strengthen brand credibility and business visibility.
  • Monitor current FMCG marketing trends and adapt tactics that resonate with Pakistani audiences.

2. Retail and On-Ground Visibility

  • Coordinate with the
    Sales and Distribution Manager
    to identify and act on
    in-store marketing opportunities
    such as displays, sampling, or end-aisle promotions in chains like Imtiaz, Al-Fatah, Metro, Carrefour, and others.
  • Work with printers, designers, and suppliers to develop effective
    POS materials
    (banners, wobblers, shelf talkers, displays).
  • Support planning and participation in local food exhibitions, trade fairs, and in-store stalls to promote consumer sampling and brand visibility.

3. Content and Design Coordination

  • Oversee creation of marketing materials including packaging visuals, social posts, short videos, and trade collaterals.
  • Collaborate with freelance designers or agencies to maintain brand consistency.
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe tools is preferred.

4. Cost-Effective Marketing Execution

  • Plan campaigns that deliver
    maximum reach within limited budgets, leveraging creativity, partnerships, and digital media instead of traditional TV or billboard-heavy routes.
  • Track ROI for campaigns and optimize based on performance.

5. Reporting and Growth

  • Analyze engagement metrics and sales feedback to guide marketing direction.
  • Work directly with leadership to plan future campaigns and, as the brand scales, help build a small internal marketing team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Media, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of FMCG marketing or brand-building experience in Pakistan.
  • Solid understanding of
    digital marketing trends, influencer partnerships, and trade marketing execution.
  • Hands-on experience running paid social campaigns or managing creative partners.
  • Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
