Job Purpose:

The Area Growth Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, market share, distribution objectives, and business growth within the assigned area. The role involves managing sales teams, developing trade strategies, ensuring product availability, and maintaining strong trade/customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive volume, value, and numeric distribution growth in the assigned area.
  • Monitor competitor activities and implement counter-strategies.

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate Field Team Representatives, and distributors' teams.
  • Conduct regular field visits to coach and ensure productivity.
  • Manage performance, provide feedback, and ensure accountability.

Distribution & Trade Marketing

  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising in trade
  • Implement trade marketing & promotional activities.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage distributor inventory, and minimize expiries/returns.

Market Development

  • Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution footprint.
  • Strengthen relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
  • Execute outlet expansion, route optimization, and coverage plans.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership & people management skills.
  • Good negotiation and relationship-building ability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of Pharma/FMCG trade dynamics in Pakistan (GT, MT, Wholesale).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Related Field(s).
  • Experience:
    years of sales experience (preferably in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods) with 1 - 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Language:
    Fluency in English & Urdu; regional languages are an advantage.
