Position Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and sustainability, while also acting as a strategic business partner to drive profitability, efficiency, and organizational growth. The role will lead budgeting, reporting, analytics, taxation, and risk management, and will also manage and develop the Finance team, ensuring strong internal controls and alignment with company policies. The Finance Manager will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating across functions to support long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop, review, and manage annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts (1-year and 3-year).
- Conduct business viability assessments for new projects, acquisitions, and retainers using contribution margin and ROI analysis.
- Lead and refine client pricing strategy in partnership with Sales/Commercial teams.
- Run business analytics on KPIs such as revenue, expenses, budget vs. actual, receivables, payables, and inventory.
2. Financial Operations & Compliance
- Oversee accounting processes including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Review and approve monthly sales tax summaries, annual tax returns, and other statutory filings.
- Supervise and coordinate external and internal audits.
- Ensure effective cash flow management, investment monitoring, and financial risk mitigation.
3. Reporting & Decision Support
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Provide senior management with actionable insights and recommendations to optimize costs and grow revenues.
- Support decision-making across departments with data-driven financial analysis.
4. Policies, Processes & Governance
- Establish and monitor internal controls, policies, and financial procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Partner with HR and leadership team members to drive a culture of accountability and empowerment.
- Contribute to organizational transformation by ensuring financial discipline, system-driven processes, and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee Admin and IT functions related to financial operations, procurement, and approval processes.
5. People Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Finance team, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and development planning.
- Identify training needs and build finance capabilities across the organization.
- Groom key team members for succession and leadership roles within Finance.
- Provide financial knowledge-sharing and training sessions to enhance overall organizational capability.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 years degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; ACCA/CIMA preferred.
- 7–9 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience in financial planning, reporting, compliance, and taxation.
- Demonstrated success in business analytics, pricing strategy, and financial modeling.
- Experience in leading audits and managing cash flow/risk.
- Exposure to Admin and IT oversight will be an advantage.
