Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend systems using Django and DRF. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to turn complex requirements into secure, efficient, and scalable APIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend applications using
    Django
    &
    Django REST Framework
  • Develop clean, well-structured, and scalable REST APIs
  • Integrate databases, optimize queries, and design robust data models
  • Write reusable components, maintain proper code structure, and adhere to best practices
  • Work with frontend teams to ensure smooth API consumption
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and security standards
  • Debug issues, optimize performance, and improve reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and planning sessions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–3 years
    of hands-on professional experience with
    Django
  • Strong knowledge of
    Django REST Framework (DRF)
  • Solid understanding of REST principles and backend architecture
  • Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
  • Proficiency with Git and standard development workflows
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Good understanding of security, sessions, tokens, and authentication flows
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
