Business Development Manager with proven Upwork experience
to help scale our international client base and revenue. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Upwork bidding strategies, client communication, proposal writing, and account management.
You'll be responsible for identifying project opportunities, crafting tailored proposals, converting leads, and maintaining strong relationships with clients on Upwork and potentially other freelance platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively bid on relevant Upwork projects to acquire new clients
- Write custom, high-converting proposals aligned with client needs
- Maintain and grow the company's Upwork profile and reputation
- Build a pipeline of recurring international clients (mainly USA, UK, Canada)
- Collaborate with internal teams to match project needs with capabilities
- Monitor competition, trends, and platform changes
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue and conversion targets
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of proven experience
managing Upwork or other freelancing platforms - Excellent written communication and proposal writing skills
- Strong understanding of IT services, SaaS, design, or development projects
- Ability to meet deadlines and sales goals under minimal supervision
- Familiarity with tools like Trello, HubSpot, Slack, etc., is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or related field
