Role Description

The E-commerce Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of product information within online retail platforms. This position focuses on maintaining organized and up-to-date product databases that support seamless online shopping experiences and efficient business operations. As an E-commerce Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for entering, updating, and verifying product details—including descriptions, images, pricing, inventory levels, and specifications—across multiple e-commerce channels. You will work closely with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency with brand standards.

Your daily responsibilities will include uploading and managing product listings, monitoring website content for errors or inconsistencies, and optimizing product data for visibility and customer engagement. You will also assist in categorizing products, managing SKU and barcode information, and supporting data migration or integration projects. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency, along with the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced digital environment. Through strong organizational and analytical skills, you will help improve product presentation, enhance the customer experience, and contribute to the overall success of the e-commerce operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing, information management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, WooCommerce, or Magento.
  • Proficiency in data entry, database management, and spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of product information with consistency and precision.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and product content optimization.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management and file organization systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
