JOB DESCRIPTION:

Certified GIS Expert is required for integrating and implementing Client's socio-economic database with modern GIS tools and technologies.

Key Tasks:

The core responsibilities are:

Analyzing geo-referenced household data using different analysis tools such as Power BI, MS Excel and Arc GIS,

Perform geo-spatial analysis using geo-statistical tools and models,

Perform hotspot analysis for different indicators supporting analysis and planning

of Client's core programme as well as initiatives taken by Client,

Acquire (devise ways to collect) geo-referenced data such as UC, tehsil and district boundaries, water features and point data depicting government offices and important buildings and determine how best the information can be displayed using GIS

Prepare maps using available household data,

Generate infographics using Adobe Suite and / or Corel Draw,

Preparing models reflecting change in socio-economic profiles of surveyed household especially in climate related disaster hit areas,

Developing / integrating GIS-based web-tool with existing dashboards for geo- refenced information display and decision making,

Enhancing and integrating NSER geo-database with other geo-referenced databases,

Performing any other task assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

1) Education/Training

2) - A bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, or a related field.

  • Certificate evidencing advanced training in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools

3) Language

  • English and Urdu at C1 level or above

4) General Professional Experience

  • 5 years of experience in GIS and spatial data analysis.

  • 3 years' experience in using Power BI, MS Excel, and ArcGIS for analyzing geo- referenced data.

5) Specific Professional Experience

  • 3 years' experience in performing geo-spatial analysis using geo-statistical tools and models.

  • 3 years experience in integrating GIS-based web tools with existing dashboards for decision-making purposes.

6) Leadership/Management Experience

  • 1 year of experience working and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

7) International Professional Experience outside the country/region of assignment

  • 3 years' experience working with international organizations or on global projects

involving GIS and spatial data analysis.

8) Professional Experience in the Country/Region of Assignment

  • 2 years' experience working in Pakistan as a GIS Specialist

  • 1 year of experience working with government social protection agencies

9) Development Cooperation Experience

  • 1 year of experience working with development partners in geo-referenced data collection, analysis, or visualization projects.

Pay: Rs100, Rs150,000.00 per month
