TECHNICAL ANALYST
Role Overview
The Technical Research Analyst will be responsible for generating actionable trading and investment insights based on chart patterns, technical indicators, and price-volume behavior across GCC markets. The role involves preparing high-quality daily and weekly research reports, maintaining watchlists, and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
o Conduct multi-timeframe technical analysis on equities, indices, commodities and currencies to identify trends, reversals, and key support/resistance levels.
o Apply moving averages, oscillators, and volatility tools to develop trade ideas and broader market outlooks.
o Prepare and publish daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly outlook reports.
o Maintain watchlists, track performance and document rationale for any changes.
o Collaborate with equity research and advisory teams to provide technical perspectives on stocks, indices, commodities, and currencies.
o Prepare charts and concise commentary using Trading-View, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Respond to client queries promptly and support the research/advisory teams during calls and presentations.
o Conduct post-analysis reviews of recommendations to improve hit ratios and trading discipline.
o Ensure strict compliance with research standards on originality, data integrity, and confidentiality.
Candidate Skills
Clear and strong understanding of basic principles of charting in terms of:
o Price / volume dynamics
o Support & Resistance identification
o Defining relevant trends
o Moving averages (simple/exponential)
o Fibonacci analysis
o Application of relevant indicators in an appropriate manner
Additional competencies
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Highly preferable without the use of AI.
o Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and disciplined in maintaining records.
o Proficiency in Trading-View / Bloomberg / Excel / PowerPoint.
o Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
o Capacity to communicate the body of knowledge clearly and concisely.
o High professional commitment and reliability.
Qualifications
o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
o CMT (any level) is strongly preferred; CMT Level 1 is an added advantage.
o 0–3 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply).
Job Responsibilities
o Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
o Present investment strategies on daily and broader time frames
o Entertain client queries promptly
Work Environment & Hours
o On-site / hybrid role based in Karachi (with potential remote collaboration).
o Working hours aligned with GCC/KSA market timings.
o Occasional flexibility required during major market events or report deadlines.

Analysts must maintain strict confidentiality of proprietary data and client information. The use of AI or automation tools is permitted for efficiency. However, all analysis and conclusions must reflect independent thinking, sound judgment, and adherence to Akseer's research integrity standards.
