We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Finance Bookkeeper/ Financial Controller to manage the company's financial processes. This part-time role will involve bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, reconciling monthly finances, generating financial reports, and overseeing the company's financial control activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, financial reporting, and reconciliation, particularly involving bank feeds, VAT payments, and Stripe integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QuickBooks Management:
  • Log invoices as received according to the bank feed in QuickBooks.
  • Update the financial tracker regularly to reflect current expenses, revenue, and financial position.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Create and maintain accurate Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow analyses on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate reporting on VAT payments and other tax-related liabilities.
  • Expense and Invoice Management:
  • Tally and log invoices for various expenses incurred by the company.
  • Ensure all expenses are recorded accurately in QuickBooks and categorized appropriately.
  • Reconciliation Tasks:
  • Reconcile financial accounts at the end of each month, ensuring that all bank statements, invoices, and receipts are accurately logged and balanced.
  • Reconcile payments received through Stripe with QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are reflected correctly in both platforms.
  • Financial Control:
  • Assist in financial control, ensuring that the company's finances are being managed effectively and that expenses are within budget.
  • Provide financial insights and support to help guide the company's financial strategy.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial control, particularly using QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reports, including P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow analysis.
  • Experience with VAT reporting and reconciliation.
  • Ability to manage and reconcile bank feeds, invoices, and payments.
  • Experience with Stripe integration and reconciliation.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Part-time availability and flexibility to work independently.

  • Part-time role with flexible hours.
