Manager - Payroll

We are looking for a detail-oriented payroll professional to ensure accurate payroll processing, tax compliance, and timely settlements. The ideal candidate will have strong ERP expertise, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics 365, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and statutory tax compliance in line with defined schedules.
- Verify allowances and ensure disbursements comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Oversee salary taxation, keeping abreast of applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports to support management decision-making.
- Maintain and update payroll data (e.g., bank details, employee records) after due authorization.
- Record payroll transactions and provisions within prescribed timelines.
- Address employee queries related to payroll, disbursement, and taxation with clarity and professionalism.
- Provide salary and tax data to internal stakeholders for timely FBR payments.
- Process and disburse intern stipends promptly.
- Continuously evaluate payroll processes to identify automation opportunities and adopt best practices.
- Process final settlements accurately and within approved timelines.
- Monitor employee/vendor accounts and ensure all related transactions are recorded and reconciled.
- Maintain the Final Settlement dashboard and coordinate with stakeholders for timely closure of receivables.
- Enhance settlement processes through reconciliations, automation, and process improvements.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of employee PF contributions.
- Maintain and update PF records to prevent errors and excess payments.
- Drive process improvements through regular evaluations and automation initiatives.
- Respond to employee queries regarding salary taxation, rebates, provident fund, and payroll matters with accuracy and transparency.
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc payroll and financial reports with clarity and relevance.
- Present insights effectively to management, demonstrating strong presentation skills.
- Manage salary advance aging reports and ensure timely settlements in D365.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (CA (part-qualified), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 4–5 years of progressive experience in payroll management, taxation, and employee benefits administration.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX) and payroll automation tools.
- Proven track record of managing payroll for large employee bases in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, social security, and statutory compliance related to payroll.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; proficiency in payroll reporting & reconciliations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee engagement and stakeholder management.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Team leadership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
