We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Senior Consultant – Database Administration
with
10+ years of experience
in managing Microsoft SQL Server and a sound working knowledge of MongoDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal database performance, maintaining data integrity, and supporting cross-functional teams in delivering robust and secure database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

SQL Server:

  • Manage SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, monitoring, backups, and restores.
  • Optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and overall database performance.
  • Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage SQL Server Agent jobs and automate routine tasks using
    PowerShell
    and other scripting tools.
  • Configure database security, manage permissions, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Possess
    sound knowledge and hands-on experience
    in MongoDB administration.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support database-related tasks.
  • Support ETL and data integration processes using SQL and MongoDB connectors/tools.
  • Provide expert-level consultation on database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years
    of proven experience as a DBA in SQL Server environments.
  • Sound working knowledge of MongoDB
    administration, monitoring tools, and backup strategies.
  • Proficient in T-SQL scripting, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with
    PowerShell scripting
    for automation and administration tasks.
  • Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and access control mechanisms.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
