Head of Liabilities

We are currently looking for a Head of Liabilities for one of our clients (a leading Digital Bank) for their head office based in Karachi.

Ideal candidate should have the following skills set to qualify for this role.

  • Masters degree in Finance, Business administration or relevant field. CA/ACCA/CFA will be preferred
  • More than 15 years of extensive experience in banking, particularly in liabilities management and digital banking
  • Deep understanding of digital banking technologies, global financial markets, Islamic banking regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to innovate. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Job Role / Major Responsibilities
:

  • Strategic Planning
    : Develop and execute strategies to enhance digital banking services focusing on Islamic banking principals, customer acquisition, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Product Development
    : Lead the creation and enhancement of digital liability products, including online savings accounts and digital fixed deposits.
  • Market Analysis
    : Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new digital liability products.
  • Risk Management
    : Ensure effective risk management practices are in place to safeguard digital liabilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    : Ensure all digital liability management activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Performance Monitoring
    : Monitor and report on the performance of digital liability products and strategies.
  • Team Leadership
    : Manage and mentor a team of professionals in the digital liabilities department.

Stakeholder Engagement
: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive the success of digital liability management initiatives.
