Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant responsible supporting accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and completing tasks in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will play a key role in core accounting functions, reconciliations, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling and recording outgoing payments to suppliers and service providers, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Managing incoming payments from clients or customers, posting receipts, and monitoring outstanding invoices.
  • Comparing the company's accounting records with bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial data accuracy and completeness.
  • Recording various business transactions in the accounting system, such as accruals, adjustments, depreciation, and correcting entries.
  • Reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy, reconciling balances, and ensuring that entries are correctly classified under appropriate accounts.
  • Supporting tasks such as posting final adjustments, reconciling accounts, and accumulating supporting documentation to ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
  • Helping prepare key financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, as well as management reports, in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Examining financial information to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies, providing insights to management for decision-making.
  • Producing custom financial reports to meet internal or regulatory needs, summarizing findings and recommendations in a clear, accessible manner.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from various departments to resolve accounting queries and support business goals.
  • Liaising with auditors, vendors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and provide necessary documentation or explanations related to financial matters.
  • Assisting with the collection and organization of relevant financial records for tax purposes, preparing schedules or documentation needed for tax filings, and working with tax professionals or authorities to address queries.
  • Providing tax support depending on education, certifications, and relevant experience in taxation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Graduates from LUMS or any other top-tier universities will be preferred.
  • Approximately 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • The role is hybrid; however, the initial 3-month training period will be conducted onsite at the office. After completion of training, the position can be managed on a hybrid or remote basis.
  • Mandatory availability for night shift hours.
