Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and complete tasks in a timely manner. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process outgoing payments to suppliers and service providers, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Manage incoming payments from clients or customers, post receipts, and monitor outstanding invoices.
  • Reconcile company accounting records with bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial data accuracy and completeness.
  • Record various business transactions in the accounting system, such as accruals, adjustments, depreciation, and correcting entries.
  • Review general ledger accounts for accuracy, reconcile balances, and ensure that entries are correctly classified under appropriate accounts.
  • Support tasks like posting final adjustments, reconciling accounts, and accumulating supporting documentation for a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
  • Analyze financial information to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies, providing insights to management for decision-making.
  • Produce custom financial reports to meet internal or regulatory needs, summarizing findings and recommendations in a clear, accessible manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to resolve accounting queries and support business goals.
  • Liaise with auditors, vendors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and provide necessary documentation or explanations related to financial matters.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

About this Role:

This is a hybrid position; however, the initial 3-month training period will be conducted onsite at the office. After completion of training, the position can be managed on a hybrid or remote basis.
