As an Engineering Tech Lead at Deel, you will be responsible for making technical decisions that ensure the team's efficiency and alignment with the right tools and strategies throughout the company.

We develop at scale, innovate rapidly, and prioritize our customers. Despite our size, Deel operates like a start-up, so versatility and juggling multiple priorities are essential.

You can expect to:

  1. Oversee all projects undertaken by the team, determine technical requirements, and communicate them effectively.
  2. Identify risks and develop contingency plans promptly.
  3. Collaborate closely with design and product teams to create exceptional product experiences.
  4. Work with the Team Lead and Product Manager to align the team's work with product goals and timelines.
  5. Demonstrate excellence in product-led software development.
  6. Develop software architecture to implement features and meet OKRs.
  7. Provide software development expertise through pair programming and code reviews.

What you'll bring to the Tech Lead role:

  1. Based between GMT+4 and GMT+9.
  2. High-output individual contributor with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  3. Accountable, trustworthy, and able to build lasting relationships with teams.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  5. 5+ years of software development experience with NodeJS, Express, PostgreSQL, React, and Typescript.
  6. At least 2 years of Tech Lead/Systems Architect experience, preferably in fintech, trading, or banking.
  7. Deep understanding of database principles and performance optimization.
  8. Knowledge of documentation and diagramming in software engineering (ERDs, State Diagrams, etc.).
  9. Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
