Octopus Digital is seeking a Business Development Lead to drive growth in our After Market Support (AMS) and Digital Transformation Services portfolio within the process and manufacturing controls domain.
This role offers more than just sales — it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to top-tier clients across infrastructure, manufacturing, and process industries. You'll shape strategies, build relationships with key decision-makers, and lead digital transformation initiatives in industrial automation.
Responsibilities- Lead business development efforts for AMS & Digital Transformation solutions, meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Manage customer accounts while collaborating with internal sales, engineering, and service teams.
- Identify and develop new clients and market opportunities using our portfolio of digital and aftermarket services.
- Build relationships with plant management, operations, and procurement teams at key customer sites.
- Work with technical teams to define Scope of Services, Statements of Work, and Proposals.
- Act as a strategic link between customers and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and engagement.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.
- Communicate complex technical concepts simply to stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on sales performance and market trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–7 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in automation, digitalization, or industrial services.
- Proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
- Knowledge of industrial technologies like MES, IoT, XR/VR, and AI/ML.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to craft compelling value propositions.
- Experience with partners such as Rockwell Automation, Microsoft, or AVEVA is a plus.
