Upwork Bidder | Business Development Associate

CodeSuite is seeking a high-performing, result-driven Senior Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive to lead our business acquisition efforts on Upwork and other freelance platforms.

This is a senior role requiring experience in hunting high-ticket clients, pitching custom software solutions, and closing deals confidently in a competitive market.

You will work closely with leadership and technical teams to identify opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and secure deals aligned with our growth strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading bidding strategy and execution across Upwork and optionally LinkedIn, Fiverr, Guru, etc.
  2. Writing high-converting custom proposals focused on value, clarity, and relevance.
  3. Understanding client needs and collaborating with internal teams to define scopes and budgets.
  4. Maintaining a CRM/log of prospects, proposals, wins/losses, and communications.
  5. Conducting discovery calls and pre-sales conversations confidently.
  6. Achieving monthly targets for leads, opportunities, and closed deals.
  7. Monitoring market trends and competitor tactics to improve strategy.
  8. Mentoring junior BDEs or bidding assistants (if applicable).

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of Upwork bidding experience with proven results (portfolio or job history required).
  • Exceptional written English and persuasive communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of custom software services: web, mobile, SaaS, MVPs, etc.
  • Ability to understand client pain points and offer tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with estimation, timelines, and collaboration with tech teams.
  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field (preferred).
