Position Summary

The Assistant Manager of ESG & EPR Reporting is responsible for supporting TCP's ESG and EPR compliance framework for packaging and textile materials through adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, sustainable supply chain initiatives, and industry best practices. The role involves monitoring the regulatory landscape, supply chain risk assessment, EPR reporting, and internal training to promote a culture of integrity and accountability.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor EPR regulatory landscape.
  • Work with internal cross functional teams and external industry partners to ensure compliance to current and forthcoming regulatory requirements in EPR.
  • Own internal tracking of EPR materials and create processes for data mapping.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Support Traceability mapping of material usage in supply chain.
  • Update internal policies to improve packaging lite-weight strategies to reduce waste.
  • Support other ESG waste initiatives within the supply chain to drive operational efficiency.
  • Support TCP with industry engagement through CAA, Canada EPR, AFIRM, AAFA, Canopy, FSC, and other organizations.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure timely submission of regulatory reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc tasks/projects assigned by management team.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Science, Logistics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, EPR, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong understanding of local and international compliance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and regulatory reporting systems
  • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with apparel manufacturing.
  • Strong sense of industry fashion trends (current and emerging).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in addition to research, reporting analytic tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
