
Presales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements to showcase the value of the company's solutions.
- Develop customized solution proposals, technical documentation, and responses to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the sales cycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
- Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are aligned with product capabilities.
- Lead customer workshops to gather requirements and understand technical environments.
- Provide post-sales support for solution deployment, where necessary.
- Design and propose security solutions based on best practices and compliance requirements.
- Technical Expertise & Enablement:
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends.
- Work with vendors and partners to ensure the best security solutions are recommended.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with internal teams and customers.
- Post-Sales Handoff & Support:
- Collaborate with implementation and support teams to ensure smooth project deployment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and technical escalation as needed.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Hands-on experience with security solutions such as firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, IAM, Zero Trust, and Cloud Security.
- Familiarity with security technologies from vendors like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Trend Micro, Microsoft Defender, and others.
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security best practices.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, CCIE Security, or vendor-specific.
- Certifications (e.g., Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Trend Micro Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build strong relationships and understand customer needs.
- Experience in preparing proposals and delivering customer presentations.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering tailored solutions.
