The Sales Executive/Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying,

developing, and nurturing new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and customs

brokerage sector. This role requires a strong understanding of international trade, customs

regulations, and logistics services. The ideal candidate will be a proactive "hunter" with excellent

communication and negotiation skills, capable of building lasting relationships with clients and

contributing significantly to the company's revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

● Business Development & Sales:

○ Identify and target potential clients (importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders)

who require freight forwarding and customs brokerage services across various

industries.

○ Conduct extensive market research to identify new business opportunities,

industry trends, and competitive landscapes.

○ Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending

industry events/exhibitions.

○ Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to

client needs.

○ Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and terms & conditions with prospective

and existing clients to secure new business and retain current accounts.

○ Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance

Indicators).

● Client Relationship Management:

○ Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their

primary point of contact for all logistics and customs-related inquiries.

○ Understand client supply chain challenges and propose customized logistics

solutions (e.g., air freight, ocean freight, FCL/LCL, customs clearance,

warehousing, distribution, land transport).○ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by coordinating with internal

operations, customer service, and documentation teams to ensure smooth

service delivery.

○ Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client needs are met and identify

opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.

● Market & Industry Knowledge:

○ Stay updated on the latest Pakistan Customs laws, SROs (Statutory Regulatory

Orders), import/export regulations, and international trade policies.

○ Keep abreast of global logistics trends, freight rates, and market dynamics.

○ Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to management to help

refine sales strategies.

● Reporting & Administration:

○ Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM system (e.g.,

Salesforce, HubSpot, or internal system).

○ Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries for management

review.

○ Collaborate closely with the operations, pricing, and finance departments to

ensure seamless service execution and accurate invoicing.

○ Handle client queries, complaints, and provide solutions efficiently.

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply

Chain Management, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred for senior roles).

● Experience:

○ Minimum [2-5 years for Sales Executive / 5+ years for Business Development

Manager] of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or

customs brokerage industry in Pakistan.

○ Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

○ Existing network of potential clients in the import/export sector is a significant

advantage.

● Skills & Competencies:

○ Strong Sales Acumen: Proven ability to identify leads, prospect, qualify,

present, negotiate, and close deals.

○ Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Pakistan's import/export

procedures, customs regulations, and various modes of transportation (air,

ocean, land).

○ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

and Urdu. Ability to articulate complex logistics solutions clearly and concisely.

○ Negotiation & Persuasion: Strong negotiation skills with a focus on win-win

outcomes

○ Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build

rapport and trust with clients.

○ Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in addressing client challenges and

operational issues.

○ IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

and experience with CRM software.

○ Results-Oriented: Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently

as well as part of a team.

○ Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients.
