Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Assistant Manager, Finance. This position requires strong leadership and accounting expertise, as well as excellent communication skills.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing customer contracts, and developing expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for the business, including accounts receivable, payables, and fixed assets management.
  • Review customer contracts and assess IFRS 15 impact on financial entries during month-end / quarter-end close.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual deliverables to other teams, including Corporate and External Auditors.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with business managers to prepare monthly forecasts and ensure accuracy in Jedox for reporting purposes.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement by conducting regular one-on-ones and team meetings.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting guidelines, particularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel workbooks and PowerPoint.
