Senior Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the entire payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or relevant field;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounts, or Business Administration;
  • Familiarity with ACCA or CA/ACMA qualifications is an asset.

  1. Process monthly payroll for staff members, assist in final settlements, and handle sports salaries;
  2. Review MIS reports to ensure accuracy and present a true and fair view;
  3. Support senior management in supervising payroll processing and participating in CBA negotiations;
  4. Monitor payroll activities, review employee final settlements, and resolve issues;
  5. Compile payroll data, including employee salaries, SESSI, EOBI payments, and taxation payments;
  6. Review payroll accounting and tax reports, maintain and update payroll records;
  7. Prepare timely one-day salary, overtime reports, and payment schedules;
  8. Process bank vouchers, transfer salaries, verify and process deductions;
  9. Identify and assess risks under management, develop risk response strategies, and monitor risks;
  10. Perform other assignments as instructed by the immediate supervisor.
