Job Title: Tobacco Control Program Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our Tobacco Control Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in implementing tobacco control laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance (30%): Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with tobacco control regulations, including policy development and enforcement.
  • Networking and Partnership (20%): Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to advance tobacco control efforts.
  • Training and Capacity Building (30%): Design and deliver training programs to build capacity among government officials, healthcare workers, and other stakeholders on tobacco control policies and practices.
  • Coordination and Implementation (20%): Provide strategic guidance and support to implement tobacco control projects, including project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in law, political sciences, public policy, public administration, public health, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in policy analysis and development, implementation, and/or capacity building.
  • Strong analytical skills, risk assessments, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, data research, and management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
