Branch Service Officer

Cash Handling and Transactions:

  • Process cash deposits, withdrawals, account transfers and payments efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to strict cash handling procedures and bank policies.
  • Balance the cash drawer at the end of each day, resolving any discrepancies.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving basic issues.
  • Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate department while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Promote bank products and services, encouraging cross-selling opportunities in line with bank guidelines.

Operational Compliance:

  • Verify all transactions align with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on compliance requirements, including AML regulations, KYC policies, and bank security measures.
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing and reporting purposes.

ATM and Cash Vault Management:

  • Assist with ATM balancing, replenishment, and minor troubleshooting as needed.
  • Perform vault duties, managing cash flow and ensuring the branch is adequately stocked.

Account Servicing:

  • Support customers in opening and closing accounts, updating account information, and providing product details.
  • Assist with account-related processes, such as deposits, check clearing, and fund transfers.

Risk Management and Security:

  • Follow established security protocols to safeguard the branch and customers.
  • Report any suspicious activity or potential fraud to the branch management and security team.

Sales and Promotion:

  • Identify opportunities to promote banking products, such as savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and other services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet branch and individual sales targets.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and customer correspondence.
  • Work collaboratively with branch team members to ensure smooth operations and cover other roles as needed.
