Job Title

A Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning of transportation operations, ensuring optimal routes and delivery schedules are in place.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of logistics experience, excellent time management skills, and a keen eye for analysis to ensure food products are loaded efficiently.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Strategic transport planning
  • Optimal routes and delivery schedules
  • Elapsed time of the drive, service time, and capacity utilization for vehicles
  • Quality assurance, proper disposition of food products subjected to spills or other disasters during transportation
  • Ensure and responsible for safety, hygiene, and food quality, temperature monitoring
  • Quality check before loading, in transit, and after loading
  • Loading, arrange for labor (loading and unloading) in case the client requires this service, maintain their record and handle all related tasks
  • Coordinate the information of loading from the driver to client
  • Give instruction/training to workforce about how to load the cargo, optimize the load time, and unload time
  • In-transit operations, respond to vehicle accidents, assist driver at scene, respond to on-road breakdowns, repair or replace needed parts to put vehicle back in service or drive back to shop for further repairs
  • Monitor vehicle movement and follow up from origin to destination
  • Handle all in-transit queries of drivers
  • Continuously update customers about their cargo status while it is on the way
  • Maintain records of loading, unloading, and in-transit stops timing and date
  • Manage and report all work-related injuries
  • Manage and record all documents and generate reports for analysis purposes

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of logistics experience in the same field
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Very good analysis skills of food products for loading
