As a Customer Development Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the width and depth of distribution of Colgate-Palmolive products in your assigned zone. Your primary objective will be to implement effective customer development strategies to achieve sales and distribution objectives for the zone.
Key Responsibilities- Distribution Management: Identify new markets/accounts and bring them under direct coverage on a regular basis. Ensure addition of speciality wholesalers and classify stores according to correct retail environment. Optimize activations to drive sales and ensure sales call efficiency.
- In-store management: Prioritize accounts for maximum impact through visibilities, ensuring coverage of top 2 outlets in every route.
- Market Updates: Secure and draw insights from competitive information regarding activities, schemes, and developments.
- Data-driven working and communication: Utilize data to drive overall business performance, setting objectives for market visits, reviewing salesman and PSR performance against plan, and reviewing stockist performance against plan.
- Developing and training: Train and develop salesmen through required mode of training, mentor and empower salesmen to perform well, and acknowledge any issues faced by salesmen in the field.
- Meetings: Conduct effective monthly and weekly salesmen meetings, updating on route wise overall STT, toothbrush STT, ERC, and productivity.
- Reporting: Compile reports and information as per requirements communicated by ASM.
- Relationship Building: Maintain trust and understanding in working with stockists and trade, partner with key wholesalers to drive business, and mutually work towards category growth.
