Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) across various platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze current and future markets to identify new opportunities.
  • Respond to RFPs and business proposals (Bids), ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.
  • Develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines in collaboration with proposal managers.
  • Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with RFP criteria (content, formatting, length, layout).
  • Maintain quality using templates and consistent proposal-writing standards.
  • Organize and update all related proposal documentation.
  • Track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes.
  • Track and maintain a record of all submitted proposals and their statuses.
  • Continuously refine and improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
  • A degree in English Language & Literature is required.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is a plus.
  • Prior experience bidding on freelance marketplaces is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills are essential.
  • Strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation are necessary.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently under pressure is crucial.
  • An analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude is essential.
