As a Regional General Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving regional sales and revenue growth while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

The position requires strategic leadership to manage the local access network, oversee customer satisfaction, generate sales, monitor operational performance, manage facilities, control activities, and undertake performance management.

Your key performance indicators (KPIs) will include ensuring networks are restored within stipulated time, achieving revenue targets, PSTN gross and net sales targets, reducing registered faults within the specified timeframe, reducing PSTN repeat fault percentage to predefined levels, and providing quality service to customers.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to the organization, experience in designing and implementing procedures, experience in management and control, strong knowledge of the telecom industry, understanding of organizational support and operating functions, knowledge of business operations and administration, project and process management skills, building support infrastructure for internal and external customers, facilitating new technological requirements and advancements, data management skills, supporting professional development and knowledge building, demonstrating informal leadership and team collaboration, anticipating client needs and problem-solving, exceeding expectations, breaking down complex issues and making viable decisions, and managing stress effectively.

A successful candidate should have extensive network operations and management experience (12+ years) and a Master's degree in Engineering or Business Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Local Access Network:
  • Propose local access network plan in conjunction with CTO and divisional heads, authorize and oversee construction of access network.
  • Operate and maintain local network by closely monitoring performance of divisions.
  • Oversee Customer Satisfaction:
  • Manage customer satisfaction level in the region.
  • Ensure timely resolution of fault complaints.
  • Ensure that product is installed on time.
  • Generate Sales:
  • Retain and increase the subscriber base.
  • Enhance existing revenue streams and optimize additional revenue streams at the regional level.
  • Monitor Operational Performance:
  • Monitor and evaluate each division's performance against targets; take corrective actions as needed.
  • Control regional operations using SAP/CMS, integrated at HQ level.
  • Ensure the availability of resources for operations and maintenance.
  • Manage Facilities:
  • Ensure safety and security of all organizational installations under jurisdiction.
  • Control Activities:
  • Ensure compliance with budgets, targets, and deadlines through cost-efficient controls.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Undertake Performance Management:
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
