Job Opportunity for Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Lead Software Engineer to join our agile team. As a critical member of our Consumer & Community Banking division, you will play a key role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted technology products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Solutions: Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions that think beyond routine approaches to resolve technical challenges.
  • Code Development: Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
  • Automation and Remediation: Identify opportunities to automate and remediate recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
  • Technical Evaluation: Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Technology Adoption: Drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies through communities of practice.
  • Culture Building: Contribute to fostering a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • Software Engineering Experience: Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of practical experience.
  • Platform Development: Proven experience in building and scaling software and machine learning platforms in high-growth or enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Key Technologies: Proficiency in SQL, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Full-Stack Development: Hands-on experience in full-stack web application development, with expertise in front-end technologies (React.js, Angular) and Java backend with microservices architecture.
  • System Design and Testing: Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
  • Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Automation and Delivery: Knowledge of automation and continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Agile Practices: Understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Cloud Computing and AI: Experience with software applications and technical processes in disciplines like cloud computing, AI, or mobile development.
  • AWS Cloud-Native Solutions: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native solutions.
