Job Title: Operating Room Technician

The role of an Operating Room Technician is a vital part of ensuring seamless medical services to patients under one roof.

  • To excel in this position, you will be responsible for receiving and identifying patients for surgery, checking patient files, and ensuring proper handover, all while adhering to strict protocols to maintain high standards of care.
  • You will also be responsible for completing per-operative documentation and ensuring that specimens are removed, labeled, and dispatched correctly.

Key skills required for this role include possessing a matriculation with a pre-medical background and Intermediate in any discipline. Additionally, a Diploma in OT Technician from a reputable institution is mandatory, along with one year of relevant experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle work pressure are essential qualities for this role, as well as a willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations.
  • Moreover, having an understanding of basic anatomy, physiology, and OR terminologies will also enable you to effectively perform your duties.
