Procurement Manager Job Description

This is a key role in the organization responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating, sourcing, and delivering goods and services.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure adherence to schedules, work plans, and performance requirements across various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement operations to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
  • Sourcing and delivery of goods and services for assigned categories.
  • Prepare comprehensive comparisons of bids/quotations.
  • Evaluate commercial aspects of technical submissions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
  • Ensure Procurement KPI's are met with compliance to department policy and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or an MBA in Supply Chain.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement from a reputable organization.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP Oracle/SAP.
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in managing both local and import purchases.
  • Well-versed in handling Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
