Job Title:

Procurement Specialist

As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials. This role involves managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, and other terms. You will maintain accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and related documentation, ensuring that all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.

You will work closely with the inventory control team to determine and manage inventory needs, as well as coordinate maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.

This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong critical thinking, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize material acquisition
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, including vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Supervise staff and allocate tasks to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and related documentation
  • Coordinate with the inventory control team to determine and manage inventory needs

Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration or a related field
  • Experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar position
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • Supervisory and management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
