Career Opportunity: IT Support Professional
About the Role:As a key member of our support team, you will provide technical assistance to colleagues across various locations. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware-related incidents, as well as helping colleagues with their day-to-day IT needs.
- First- and second-level support for all IT systems and services.
- Log and track all incidents via Jira, following the incident management process.
- Work on escalated incidents from the IT Service Desk and ensure that incidents are updated regularly.
- Support remote workers by providing assistance via the central IT Support Slack channel and logging incidents on behalf of end-users.
- Communicate priority 1/critical issues to the IT leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Perform daily checks on IT infrastructure and systems to ensure uptime for network performance, WiFi, Zoom rooms, business applications, and datacenter services.
- Collaborate with the Call Center team by providing technical support, including configuring and delivering required hardware devices.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Install new hardware, software, and printers.
- Implement and assist in the rollout of new applications and operating systems.
- Prepare new laptops, install computer hardware, operating systems, and applications as part of the new joiners' onboarding processes.
- Assist the People (HR) Team with leavers' (offboarding) processes, disabling account access, collecting HW devices, revoking application licenses, and uninstalling software.
- Coordinate with local suppliers/procurement teams for asset management/tagging and tracking.
- Provide assistance to colleagues with technology-related issues.
- Ensure meeting room support for tele/video conference solutions to minimize disruption to meetings.
- Monitor meeting rooms proactively to ensure they are online and functioning correctly.
- Conduct problem management to review incidents for recurring issues and highlight problems.
- Participate in change management to assess and minimize the impact on production services.
- Collaborate closely with the Information Security team to ensure IT security policies and best practices are up-to-date and enforced.
- Maintain IT policies and procedures, educate users on best practices, protect data, software, and hardware, and contribute to continuous improvement.
