Product Specialist Role Summary

Digital product specialists drive the development, management, and harmonization of commercial products and services across multiple segments. This role demands expertise in creating attractive value propositions that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Value Propositions: Utilize profound product knowledge to craft compelling value propositions that deliver excellence to customers.
  • Manage Customer Processes: Develop, manage, harmonize, and phase out customer processes for products and services, along with everyday customer sales.
  • Address Incidents: Address urgent incidents and improvement needs promptly.
  • Improve Work Processes: Suggest and implement structural improvements to work processes based on improvement needs identified from within the touchpoint.
  • Contribute to Sprint Events: Leverage technical expertise to contribute to sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos).
  • Market and Competition Analysis: Track and analyze market and competition developments in areas such as cost price, market price, market share, legislation, regulations, technological advancements, distribution methods, and other relevant factors.
  • Develop New Products and Services: Evaluate the feasibility of developing new products and services against procuring potential sub-products.
  • Initiate Customer Research: Initiate research into customer preferences.
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
  • Customer Journeys: Make informed decisions on customer journeys that result in exceptional end-user experiences.
  • Project/Product Priorities: Determine daily project/product priorities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks/projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Banking Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in banking or related project work, or a high-level understanding of the banking industry.
  • Requirements Gathering: At least 3 years of experience gathering requirements and translating them into user requirements, data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience.
  • Background in Engineering: A background in engineering, technology, or UX is preferred.
  • Product Management Experience: Experience working as a Product Manager for software products.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Negotiation and Leadership Skills: Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leaders.
