Key Responsibilities

Job Summary :

Manage the monthly financial close and reporting process, developing partnerships with Business verticals, Finance, Technology and Corporate teams. The role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Accounting and will be part of a 9-member team.

Accounting Expertise

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing monthly financial close and reporting process including Service Business Units (SBUs) financial reporting.
  • Driving accurate and timely accounting across business units and entities/subsidiaries; ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting per IFRS and adherence to standard/local accounting practices.
  • Monitoring and reviewing processes pertaining to monthly financial close, AP, fixed assets, cash management, etc. for achievement of defined KPIs; identifying opportunities for process automation and re-engineering.
  • Collaborating with the Service Operations teams.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders for input on complex accounting issues and forming an opinion on the accounting treatments under applicable IFRS.
  • Developing strategic partnerships with business teams.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely group/statutory financial reporting and managing external audits.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting (IFRS) and financial reporting standards, with good working knowledge of ERP systems and awareness of upcoming changes in the industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements :

Minimum Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW). Strong business acumen, effective leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities are essential. A minimum of overall 6-7 years of experience in the telecommunications sector is required, with a comprehensive understanding of telecom financial processes, including revenue recognition, capital expenditures, leases, and related financial activities.

At least 4-5 years of managerial experience leading accounting teams, with proven expertise in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting to Heads of Departments/CFO.
