Geomechanics Engineer Role

As a Geomechanics Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in constructing geomechanical models to gain deeper insights into rock mechanics. This requires expertise in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest standards of corporate governance are maintained, upholding ethical and compliant practices.
  • Prioritize quality, health, safety, security, and environmental protection across all operations.
  • Execute geomechanical projects, including stress field determination, safe mud weight window analysis, drilling event analysis, fracture gradient prediction, laboratory core measurements, pore pressure profiling, log analysis, sand production prediction, and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide integrated solutions and understand their needs effectively.
  • Develop presentations, technical papers, and project deliverables that showcase expertise.
  • Work closely with diverse technical professionals on multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of product lines through technical assistance and support.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree in Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or related fields, with strong technical capabilities in geomechanics and industry experience.
  • Have at least 3 years' experience in 1D geomechanical modeling, preferably using Techlog software.
  • A Master's or PhD in Geotechnical, Geomechanics, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geophysics, or related fields is advantageous.
  • possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to change.
