Job Summary:

We are looking for a Bookkeeper with a solid background in financial recordkeeping and general accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing full-cycle bookkeeping processes and will play a key role in supporting our financial operations. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the general ledger and financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment/collection.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee expenses and benefits.
  • Prepare and generate financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow) for internal use and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Coordinate with external accountants or auditors during audits and tax preparation.
  • Monitor and track company expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Suggest process improvements and help implement new systems for better financial tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or NetSuite).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other MS Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
