The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the fintech space. With 3+ years of experience in the fintech industry, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial technology, market trends, and sales strategies. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Opportunity Identification
  2. Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and sales channels within the fintech sector.
  3. Client Acquisition
  4. Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients. Execute outreach strategies and present company offerings to prospective customers to drive sales.
  5. Partnership Development
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, fintech startups, financial institutions, and payment providers to build long-term partnerships.
  7. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
  8. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings. Provide insights to improve business development strategies.
  9. Sales Strategy & Execution
  10. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
  11. Collaboration with Product & Marketing Teams
  12. Work closely with product development and marketing teams to ensure alignment of business development strategies with product roadmaps and promotional efforts.
  13. Proposal Development & Presentations
  14. Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations tailored to client needs and requirements.
  15. Contract Negotiation
  16. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring agreements are beneficial for both parties and aligned with the company's objectives.
  17. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  18. Monitor business development metrics and performance indicators. Provide regular reports on sales pipeline, revenue growth, and partnership opportunities.
  19. Networking & Industry Engagement
  20. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's fintech offerings and build relationships with potential clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the fintech industry.
  • Strong understanding of fintech products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in lead generation, deal negotiation, and closing sales.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with financial services products such as payments, digital banking, lending, or blockchain is a plus.
