Aion's mission is to help traditional banks transition to digital platforms with confidence, aiming to delight 10 million customers for client banks in the Middle East and Africa. We offer a digital banking platform for on-the-go banking services and help clients monetize their data for personalized customer engagement. Aion's primary products include Digital Onboarding, Retail Digital Bank, and Corporate Digital Bank, along with AI for Retail Banking, Open Banking, and Lifestyle Rewards. We are building five digital banks in the GCC and have 12 mandates across UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Aion Digital is a brand of Waqfe.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Head of Engineering. The Head of Engineering will lead the engineering team, oversee the development and implementation of digital banking solutions, manage project timelines, ensure product quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role includes setting technical direction, mentoring team members, and driving innovation to meet the company's strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in software development and engineering management
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing digital banking solutions
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with AI, Open Banking, and data monetization is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
