About the Role
As a Client Success Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the success of our U.S.-based accounting clients, starting from onboarding and ensuring long-term value delivery, retention, and satisfaction. Your focus will span client relationships, pricing, engagement health, feedback loops, and supporting sales and marketing with real insights from client experiences.
This position requires basic accounting knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to think through both reporting needs and business-level goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Success & Retention (50%)
- Build and manage lasting relationships with accounting clients across real estate, IT, and e-commerce or similar verticals
- Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate client needs and increase service value
- Conduct weekly reviews of current and past accounts, track service feedback, and identify upselling or improvement opportunities
- Assist clients with onboarding and understanding of our transparent and diversified service stack
Insights, Reporting & Pricing Analysis (25%)
- Analyze client engagement data to recommend service enhancements or pricing adjustments
- Prepare monthly reports on active client health, retention risks, and upsell readiness for leadership
- Help standardize reporting dashboards for internal success tracking
Sales & Marketing Collaboration (15%)
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify messaging gaps and pain points early in the funnel
- Translate client needs into actionable value propositions
- Share client feedback to refine our onboarding, brand, and marketing positioning.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Project Support (10%)
- Work with finance, and marketing teams to ensure client expectations are met on time
- Champion Sagelight's values and innovation mindset across all client touchpoints
Position Requirements (Must-Have)
- 2+ years of experience at an accounting/advisory firm or B2B SaaS/SolaaS organization
- Familiarity with U.S. accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Gusto)
- Understanding of real estate, IT, or e-commerce financial models
- Experience with tools like Excel or other reporting dashboards
- Comfortable explaining financial tools and reports to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable in client-facing roles and a fast-paced work environment
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting CFOs or senior accountants with reporting
- Background in PMO, SaaS, or cloud platform environments
- Strong curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Up-to-date with consumer psychology-driven messaging and business communication trends
- Understanding of U.S. tax calendars and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with financial flows through tools like Shopify, Amazon, and Stripe
