ICE Consulting is looking for a detail-oriented and dynamic Buyer/Operations professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing equipment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring effective operations within our organization. Your adept communication skills will be essential, as you will interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue multiple quotes for clients regarding computer hardware and software requirements.
- Engage with clients to present quotes and follow up on their status.
- Oversee and sustain hardware and software warranties, support services, and licensing for clients.
- Place orders for hardware and software upon receiving client approval.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with vendors for optimal pricing and service.
- Track orders diligently, providing estimated arrival times (ETAs) to clients.
- Keep clients informed about their order progress regularly.
- Manage office inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Facilitate the organization and documentation of hardware and software warranties and licenses.
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion of quotes and orders.
- Assign and oversee service requests (tickets) to ensure timely resolutions.
- Assist in scheduling resources and maintaining high standards of documentation.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and familiar with ticketing and quotation applications (e.g., ConnectWise, QuoteWerks).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer support or purchasing operations.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Visio, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to engage positively with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in all job functions.
- Experience with Confluence for managing documents and project-related information.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to collaborate successfully with colleagues, vendors, and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
