Position: Assistant Manager – Taxation & Legal Services

Location
: Onsite (Full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file income tax returns, sales tax returns, and withholding tax statements for individuals, companies, and other entities.
  • Ensure compliance with FBR and provincial tax authorities (PRA, SRB, etc.).
  • Assist in tax assessments, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities to resolve queries and disputes.
  • Maintain proper documentation and status records of all correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Provide tax advisory services on corporate and individual taxation matters.
  • Assist CFO in tax planning, risk management strategies, and financial statement reporting of tax-related transactions.
  • Review tax computations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Stay updated with amendments in tax laws, SROs, and government notifications.
  • Handle appeals and legal proceedings related to tax matters, liaising with consultants and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Prepare and present data required by regulatory authorities.
  • Supervise and guide junior team members on tax assignments.
  • Suggest improvements in processes to ensure efficient operations and compliance.

Qualification:
CA Finalist; Articles must be from a reputed firm, preferably in Tax)

Experience:
3-4 years

  • Strong knowledge of Pakistani tax laws & compliance.
  • Experience in handling various sectors' taxation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, e-filing portals & tax software.
  • Strong analytical, communication & problem-solving skills.
