Position: Assistant Manager – Taxation & Legal Services
Location
: Onsite (Full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file income tax returns, sales tax returns, and withholding tax statements for individuals, companies, and other entities.
- Ensure compliance with FBR and provincial tax authorities (PRA, SRB, etc.).
- Assist in tax assessments, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities to resolve queries and disputes.
- Maintain proper documentation and status records of all correspondence with tax authorities.
- Provide tax advisory services on corporate and individual taxation matters.
- Assist CFO in tax planning, risk management strategies, and financial statement reporting of tax-related transactions.
- Review tax computations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated with amendments in tax laws, SROs, and government notifications.
- Handle appeals and legal proceedings related to tax matters, liaising with consultants and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and present data required by regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and guide junior team members on tax assignments.
- Suggest improvements in processes to ensure efficient operations and compliance.
Qualification:
CA Finalist; Articles must be from a reputed firm, preferably in Tax)
Experience:
3-4 years
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani tax laws & compliance.
- Experience in handling various sectors' taxation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, e-filing portals & tax software.
- Strong analytical, communication & problem-solving skills.
