About the role:

The Senior Manager, Channel Capability & Enablement is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of initiatives that enhance the performance, tools, processes, and capacity-building frameworks of Telenor Pakistan's nationwide distribution network. The role focuses on empowering franchise partners, the field force, and retail channels through capability development, digital transformation, operational excellence, and strong governance-ultimately driving efficiency, compliance, and commercial performance.

Your Impactful Goals and Typical Day will include:

1. Lead Channel Enablement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel capability and enablement roadmap aligned with Telenor Pakistan's commercial vision and growth objectives.
  • Lead the modernization and digital transformation of channel operations through structured programs, technologies, and tools.

2. Effective Franchise & Retail Operations Management

  • Lead end-to-end franchise operations, retail execution, and supply chain optimization to ensure consistent service, standardized processes, and commercial delivery across the national footprint.
  • Champion the transition toward touch-free operations and automation across all operational and supply chain domains.
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams to drive excellence in last-mile execution, franchise partner enablement, and retail experience.

3. Designing Capability Building Programs

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify skill, knowledge, and behavioral gaps across sales channels.
  • Design modular learning programs tailored to various roles (Retailer, Franchise, Field Officer, Area Manager), incorporating in-person, digital, and on-the-job training methods.
  • Promote a continuous learning culture through gamified learning, microlearning, and certification programs.

4. Ensure Channel Governance & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce governance frameworks and SOPs across Telenor Pakistan's sales and distribution network.
  • Conduct business support system audits and ensure adherence to governance, operational, and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with PTA and other government directives.
  • Address customer complaints related to the channel in line with established escalation protocols and service quality standards.

5. Stakeholder & External Affairs Engagement

  • Act as a liaison with key internal stakeholders-including Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs-to engage with external entities such as the PTA and LEAs.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams to ensure smooth rollout of capability and governance initiatives.
  • Influence strategic outcomes through proactive engagement and alignment with compliance, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

6. Effective Solution Design & Business Support

  • Lead expert teams in designing and deploying product and process solutions within the channel operations ecosystem.
  • Ensure that business support processes and solutions are scalable, automated, and aligned with modern digital standards

What Are We Looking For?

Education: Master's degree (MBA, Marketing, Finance, or a related field) from an accredited institution.

Work Experience: 10+ years of Sales and Channel Management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. A technical background with a strong grasp of telecom sales channel planning, enablement, capability building, legal compliance, and governance is preferred.

Potential Career Path:

This role offers vertical progression into a director position and lateral movement into other roles within Sales and Distribution.
