Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and hands-on HR Manager to lead and build our HR operations in Pakistan from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a structured HR department, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, leading recruitment and retention strategies, managing employee relations, and aligning HR operations with the strategic goals of a growing fintech company.

- HR Department Setup:
- Set up and lead all HR functions in Pakistan, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations
- Establish HR processes, documentation, SOPs, and systems suitable for a startup fintech environment
- Define and implement HR policies, handbooks, and employee lifecycle frameworks aligned with company culture and legal compliance
- Drive full-cycle recruitment (from sourcing to onboarding) for technical and non-technical roles
- Collaborate with global teams to define job requirements and sourcing strategies
- Build employer branding initiatives to attract top fintech talent in Pakistan
- Oversee payroll coordination, employee records, and attendance management
- Manage benefits, compliance, and employment contracts in line with company policies and Pakistan labor laws
- Ensure compliance with all Pakistani labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture aligned with our fintech values
- Handle grievance redressal, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and exit formalities with fairness and professionalism
- Organize employee engagement, wellness, and development activities
- Design and roll out performance appraisal frameworks
- Identify training needs and implement L&D initiatives
- Coach and guide line managers on people management best practices
- Bachelor's or Master's in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR leadership role
- Proven experience in building an HR department from scratch (0 to 1)
- Strong understanding of Pakistani labor laws, HR compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Hands-on experience in fintech/startup environment is highly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving mindset
- Strong command of English and Urdu for business communication
- "Can-do" attitude with a proactive and ownership-driven approach
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, respectful, and decent personality, able to work with international stakeholders
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and capable of using HR data for basic analysis and reporting
