The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Equities to lead and manage our equities strategies and operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the financial sector, with a proven track record in equities trading, portfolio management, and leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive results and maintain a competitive edge in a fast-paced market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive equity strategies to optimize portfolio performance and market share.
  • Lead equities trading and investment activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and risk management policies.
  • Oversee equity research, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, brokers, and financial institutions.
  • Lead a team of analysts and traders, providing mentorship and direction.
  • Analyze market trends and economic conditions to adjust strategies and capitalize on investment opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior management to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on portfolio performance.
  • Ensure alignment of equities strategies with the company's financial objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Drive the development of new financial products or solutions within the equity market.
  • Stay updated on market regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in equities or financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • MBA, or relevant qualification in finance or related field.
  • Expertise in equities trading, portfolio management, and financial analysis.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale equity portfolios and delivering strong financial returns.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, trading platforms, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices and portfolio diversification strategies.
