Job Overview:

The HR Manager is responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization. This role involves developing and implementing policies regarding employment and working conditions, as well as hiring new staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Department Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Human Resources department's efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Talent Acquisition: Organize and coordinate the recruitment and selection process for new staff members.
  3. Performance Management: Design and implement staff appraisal systems and develop effective training policies to enhance employee performance.
  4. Disciplinary Support: Advise general managers on disciplinary issues and provide guidance on resolving conflicts.
  5. Legislative Compliance: Monitor employment legislation and ensure that all HR practices are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  6. Employee Engagement: Advise senior management on pay and conditions, retention rates, and business policy affecting employee relations.
  7. Recruitment Best Practices: Keep up-to-date with best practices in recruitment and selection to ensure that the organization attracts top talent.
  8. Staff Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records, including personnel files and performance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Business Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate commercial objectives into HR policies.
  2. Administrative Expertise: Demonstrate excellent administrative skills, including organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  3. Negotiation and Mediation: Show the ability to negotiate and mediate effectively to resolve conflicts and disputes.
  4. Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  5. Analytical Skills: Demonstrate analytical skills, including data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
