Strategic HR and Administrative Manager

The position oversees the entire Human Resources function for the country office. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment processes to attract top talent.
  2. Reviewing job advertisements prior to posting, screening CVs, conducting telephone screenings, coordinating interview teams, and participating in candidate interviews.
  3. Ensuring all labour engagement is compliant with local laws and regulations.
  4. Managing the new hire orientation and exit process.

Compliance and Record Keeping:

Annual review of the Personnel Handbook to ensure compliance with changing local conditions or labour laws.

Timely submission, approval accuracy, and filing of timesheets for the office.

Compensation and Benefits:

Monitoring compensation packages to ensure internal equity and compliance with benefits.

Facilitating job analysis and updating job descriptions to meet organizational needs.

Payroll and Budget:

Coordinating with the Finance Manager to prepare accurate and compliant monthly payrolls.

Advising the Country Director on appropriate staffing levels and assisting in budget preparation.

Administration:

Ensuring smooth running of all administrative functions in the country office.

Supervising travel and hotel arrangements for staff and visitors, including visas and work permits as applicable.

Training and Development Performance Maintenance:

Evaluating employee training needs and recommending programs.

Overseeing performance reviews and implementation of training programs.

Employee Relations:

Resolving employee relations issues through pragmatic and fair decision-making.

Investigating employee relations issues and ensuring consistency and fairness in human resources decisions.

Job Specification

Other Competencies Abilities Skills Required:

Familiarity with country-specific laws and regulations governing Human Resources.

Ability to work with managers to assess complex issues effectively.

Excellent written and verbal English and local language skills.

Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels.

Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.

Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
