Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate patient records using correct charting techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and self-management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by being approachable, respectful, and professional in interactions with colleagues and patients.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Protect patients and employees from harm by following protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the ward.
  • Follow doctors' orders and raise concerns about prescribed treatments.
  • Manage medical supplies and ensure they are adequately stocked and stored.
  • Regularly check and record blood sugar levels for patients.
  • Perform blood draws and lab procedures on patients under supervision.
  • Monitor vital signs for pre-operative and post-operative patients.
  • Perform IV cannulation following Clinical IPPs policy manual guidelines.
  • Report incidents and untoward occurrences promptly and escalate to senior staff as necessary.
  • Supervise staff and delegate tasks as required.
