Key Account Manager Role

">About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining long-term relationships with clients, and maximizing sales opportunities within their portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with major clients to prevent them from switching to competitors
  • Gain a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Maintain and grow current business in assigned territories, meeting or exceeding company objectives on a yearly basis
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements with customers in accordance with company guidelines
  • Achieve assigned sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Train and educate customers and their associates on the entire product line, marketing programs, and advertising initiatives
  • Successfully manage bids and submissions
  • Participate actively in sales promotion and marketing activities in the region
  • Employ relationship selling techniques to assist customers in growing their business with Arwen's solutions and services
  • Solve product-related issues for customers in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to address any credit issues
  • Participate in opportunity mapping sessions with vendors and contribute to GNG meetings and vendor/product selection for specific opportunities
  • Update sales CRM records
Requirements
  • Preparation of weekly reports and quarterly review meetings is routine work, which should be communicated to higher management
  • Maintenance of essential data recording systems is part of the job
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's)
  • Must have deep industry knowledge, be motivated, highly structured, and organized
  • Familiarity with Arwen's portfolio of solutions and products
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills
  • Reliability, responsibility, dependability, and a drive to exceed sales targets
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to manage and interact with decision-makers at customer organizations
  • Presentation and persuasion skills to win business cases within Arwen's senior and top management executives
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required
  • The minimum educational requirement for this role is a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; however, candidates with an MBA or advanced degrees are preferred
  • A minimum of 05 years of experience in a related field (System Integrator) is required
  • Candidates with more years of sales experience in IT (SI) will have an edge
  • Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales and a positive attitude towards success are essential
  • Experience in managing major national accounts at head office level is highly valued
  • High self-motivation is necessary
