Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Administrator
About the Role:This position requires a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, maintain compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and ensure timely submission of statutory deductions.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for all employees
- Maintain and update employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits
- Review and validate timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant information
- Ensure timely submission of statutory deductions, such as income tax, docked amounts, and other deductions
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for internal departments and external agencies
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and proper recordkeeping
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel information
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, labor laws, and tax regulations
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems, such as ADP, Paychex, SAP, QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field
